Amador Water Agency, California, selects Munsys to map and manage water and wastewater networks.Sacramento, CA, October 24, 2007 - Munsys, Inc announces that Amador Water Agency has purchased the Munsys® Water, Sewer and Mapbooks applications. These are part of an integrated family of proven solutions that solve the asset mapping and management needs of utility and local government organizations. “As a small-medium sized water agency we required a cost effective GIS solution that delivered high end functionality out of the box and would allow us to build on our existing AutoCAD® knowledge and data. We are impressed that we were able to both implement our systems in Munsys and complete our training schedule within 40 days of cutting the purchase order,” says Scott Wolfskill, GIS Technician at Amador Water Agency. “Having our mapped asset information in Oracle Standard Edition One will enable us to integrate it with our other enterprise systems and publish it live to Autodesk MapGuide®, while retaining the ability to create and edit engineering data in AutoCAD using Munsys applications.” The Munsys® solutions include a central database with pre-defined Oracle® Spatial data models and integrated applications for the management of water, sewer, drainage, cadastral, roads and electricity infrastructure. Autodesk® design products are utilized for spatial data creation and editing. Traditional GIS software and other databases are easily integrated using OpenGIS® and gateway technologies.
